Tree Preservation Order (TPO) and Conservation Advice
Within our city and surrounding areas there are many conservation areas put in place to preserve our green heritage and beautiful landscapes. This provides a system which creates a structured approach to the management of our trees.
There are also tree preservation orders (TPOs) on individual trees, which prevent unjustified cutting/felling of mature trees that have amenity value.
We appreciate the importance of such regulations so that future generations can also benefit from our beautiful landscapes. This is why we strive to find the best options for your tree and this way an agreement can be achieved by all parties including you!
Our adviser will determine whether or not your tree is protected by such orders and will provide unbiased and genuine advice on the options available to you. We will then apply for the consent for the works from the relevant governing body.
An application usually takes up to 6 weeks from the date submitted. Both us and you receive copies of the outcome, which will usually either grant full consent or suggest a suitable compromise.
